creating a safe and consensual massage experience
Lomilomi is a full-body ceremonial massage.
It’s strokes are long, flowing, wave-like. Inviting deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and reconnection with your own inner rhythm.
In Hawaiian tradition Lomilomi includes areas bypassed in Western approaches-such as the abdomen, glutes, and heart space (chest area) as these are vital to restoring harmony through the whole being.
This touch is always:
Sacred, consensual, and non-sexual.
Guided by deep respect and clear boundaries.
Adapted to your comfort, always.
Held in reverence and presence.
Genital areas are never touched.

“From the moment I entered the room Rachael’s calm presence was evident. And then once I was on the table it was like I was transported to another place. The sweeping movements are like the ocean, washing away any tension and I can honestly say it was the most relaxing massage I’ve ever had. Afterwards I felt such sense of clarity and lightness. This was something else and I’ll be back”
- Receiver of Lomilomi
Due to my registration as a Social Worker, I do not offer Lomilomi to clients engaged with me through Freedom to Breathe Psychotherapy or EMDR Therapy.
This boundary is in place to honour the ethical requirements of my profession and to protect the sacredness of both spaces.
If you’re unsure which path is right for you, you’re welcome to reach out for clarity.
Your safety-spiritually and professionally-matter deeply.

Each session begins with a quiet Pule (prayer) to open the space. You’ll be gently invited to lie on the table, covered with a sarong. I use organic coconut oil and rhythmic forearm strokes to support your nervous system softening, emotional release and reconnection.
There is nothing to do here. Only to receive-to let your breath guide you, your mind settle, and the soft music hold the rest.

Yes-this is a full body session, in line with traditional practices. The chest, abdomen and glutes are touched with care and reverence, as these areas hold deep emotional and energetic patterns. Genital areas are never touched.
The genital area remains covered throughout the session. A sarong is draped securely around this area to honour modesty, safety and sacred boundaries.
Your voice is welcome here.
If any part of your body feels tender, off-limits or private, you are invited to let me know-your comfort and boundaries will always be honoured.
This is not about accessing the body. It’s about holding space for the heart.

I invite you to wear comfortable loose fitting clothes.
You will be undressed to your comfort level under the sarong. Most clients wear nothing beneath, but some choose to keep their underwear on. Either is welcome. Your comfort is the guide.

Yes, you are warmly welcome to use the shower after receiving Lomilomi.
While the organic coconut oil is deeply nourishing and often left on the skin to continue it’s benefits, I honour your personal comfort and preference.
Whether you choose to rinse and refresh or carry the oils as part of your integration, the choice is entirely yours. You will be provided with a towel, body wash, shampoo and conditioner.
This space is yours to return to rhythm - in body and in breath.
